Distance: 65.41 mi.

Total: 12,497.39 mi., 20,108.30 km.

My last full day of riding in Southeast Asia sent a light rain and chill that felt like an ending. I scored some excellent crab-shaped back goods along the way, which fueled my float into the melee of Hanoi traffic.

I had loved Ho Chi Minh City so much that I felt bad for Hanoi, which could scarcely measure up. But Hanoi delivered its own stately grandeur, shrouded in mist and communism, to Saigon's humidity and hubbub.

Next stop is Australia, after I have a rest and pack up Louise for the flight. I hadn't originally planned to do a full loop through SEA, but I am having a hard to saying good-bye to this region, with its beauty, humor, and humanity. Down to earth and down to clown, SEA defies all the preconceived notions I didn't know I had. I hope to find my way back here someday soon.
