Sparse WiFi, relentless headwinds, high temps, and a stomach bug all conspired to keep me away from this blog. But my dear infriend Lera, who flew out to drive a support vehicle across this hot and barren part of my journey, has kept me fed, watered, and rested. She is even learning to ride the vintage Aussie bike we bought back in Perth.
