An Interview a Day

Updated: 5 days ago

May 8, 2024

It's the end of the world as we know it, and we still don't know much about people.

Most social and medical science research has been conducted by and with college-educated men of European heritage. Most novels, histories, plays, and film scripts have been written by and about middle- and upper-class men of European heritage.

Most people, however, are not college educated, are less than middle class, are not of European heritage, and are not men (that's right; women are at least 51% of most populations.)

To shed a little light on how the other 95% live, I originally aimed to interview a woman a day while on my trip. I am about 80% compliant with my own plan. Some days, I am just too tired or short of daylight to interview people. Other days, a man catches my ear and he becomes my day's participant.

I always get my participants' consent to share their interviews on my blog and to analyze their answers for larger trends. In an effort to control the distribution of their images, though, I am not embedding their interviews on this blog. Instead, I will just list their first names and locales here and link to their video.

To all y'all interviewees: Thank you for sharing your time and thoughts with me. Please contact me if you have any questions or concerns about your video:
